Practical Information
How does payment for a photo session work?
First you have to book and confirm a photo session via my contact page.
After the photo session, I will send you an email with login and password to a photo album on this website where you can preview some watermarked photos from the session. Then you will receive either an invoice or a MobilePay request to pay the amount written in our contract. Once the payment is settled, you will get the full album in the online gallery.
What if I'm dissatisfied with my pictures?
Photography is art, and all works of art may be satisfactory to some while unsatisfactory to others. If we went through with a photo shoot together, and I spent time editing your images, it is unlikely that I will grant a refund.
However, in rare cases where I am unable to deliver what we agreed, or if the pictures were unusable even for editing, you will be entitled to a full or partial refund. This will be further specified in a contract we sign before every photo shoot.
How long does it take from the photo session until I can see my photos?
It typically takes from 8 working days up to 5 weeks from the end of the photo session until the images are processed, depending on the type of photo session. The processing time often follows the number of pictures promised, so weddings, for example, will take longer.
What if the weather is bad?
In my experience the weather has to be very bad before it is necessary to cancel a photo shoot. However, dangerous weather will always result in cancellation if the location is outdoors.
I will always write the day before or on the morning of the shoot to confirm the agreement and make changes based on the weather if necessary.
What should I wear?
It is often a good idea to avoid text and prints on clothing as well as strong neon colors, unless it is intentional.
In my experience, natural or calm colors in natural materials (wool, knitwear, cotton, linen) give great results because they do not 'disrupt' the image.
In addition, it may be a good idea to pick from the same color palette if there are several subjects.
If the weather is cold and we are shooting outdoors, I recommend that you think of the clothing in layers with wool and knitwear rather than a large winter jacket.
How do we ensure the best session with young children?
It's incredibly important that the session is a good experience for the child. Some factors start at home, so make sure that the child is well-rested and fed. On the shoot, we will work together to make sure the child feels comfortable and safe.
With young children, things don't always go as planned, and of course there is room for comfort breaks, nappy changes and breastfeeding if necessary. It's also a great idea to bring some snacks and toys to boost the mood and to catch some smiles.
Can I choose the location myself?
You are very welcome to choose the location yourself. If you don't have a specific place in mind, I can always help pick a location that fits the feel of the shoot.
Do you share our images on social media?
I never share photos on my profile without your permission. I will always ask before sharing photos I love, but if you don't want the photos shown on my website, Instagram or Facebook, that will always be respected.
However, I really appreciate being allowed to share the photos, as it is a big part of my work to show what I do.
